This blog post is being dedicated to Denise, Mary W, Sherry, Beth and Jacki. Thanks girls for the nice emails and Facebook comments looking for me. Facebook is my new stomping ground as it's easier to micro blog in a few short sentances than to formulate a project and toughts here. I'm not saying that I don't miss my blog and blogging friends.....it's a time thing....and I just haven't figured out how to add blogging back into my juggling act and judging by the crappy photo I have forgotten how to use my camera too.

First the stamping and then I'll get to my crazy life. My stamp room has become the junk epicenter of the household...quite embarassing and I am actually going to show you the before I clean it up video to prove it and it's not pretty. I can honestly say that I have not been stamping....nor can I find anything so that I can stamp.

By the looks of this lame tag it shouldn't be any surprise that I have not been stamping. (That will drop another 10 readers that are looking at this blog for stamping inspiration.) I tried to make the above tag to attach to a get well gift a while back and I couldn't even find which drawer I keep my brads in....nice. I didn't have any mono so I was using that huge industrial tape runner thingy. And sadly....I never mailed the get well gift to the recipient either. (by the way, she's feeling better now.)

I am officially on vacation the rest of the week and my goal this afternoon is to get my stamp room in order so that I may be more crafty, creative and productive. (Sounds like I am taking a Stamping Oath and I need to raise my right hand.) That should have been my Lenten promise instead of giving up Starbucks cause that one isn't going so well.

Ok...brace yourself. Here is my first stamping video ever and just so you know...there is no stamping lesson in this video. I am NOT going to show you anything new, trendy or creative. This is just a bold step into my room full of crap that I never use anymore....the title of my video is....The Unorganized Scrapbooker.

7 Things About Me

Sorry I have no projects to share with you right now. I am super busy working on some "Top Secret" stuff. I'll be back later with something scrapbooking related....I have scrapbook fever since I went to Archiver's this morning. But for now...enjoy these 7 ramdom and wierd things about me.

7 Things Game
The Rules for 7 Things

1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog. Heather tagged me along time ago and I totally forgot! Sorry.

2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog; some random, some weird.

3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.

4. Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

My 7 facts:

  1. I am really bad at Math...and I work at a bank. Thank God I don't work any where near the money! LOL

  2. I go to Starbucks a minimum of twice a week and I always get the same drink....Grande, Non-Fat, No Whip Mocha.

  3. I am not an animal lover but we have two dogs, two cats and 12 fish. The kids are responsible for their care...not me.

  4. I had my first martini ever New Years Eve 2004. Until then I never really drank alcoholic beverages (other than high school when I wasn't legal...yikes) and now I am a Cosmo Girl when the occassion presents itself.

  5. Almost everything in my home (except craft supplies and food) is purchased from a garage sale, thrift store or flea market. I am a total bargin hunter and love the thrill of finding a good deal.

  6. I do not like fruit! YUCK!!! Esp bananas....OMG...that just gags me thinking about it. I would never EVER walk into the kitchen and think hmmmmm....I am really craving an apple. No fruit for me but I'll eat any veggie you put on my plate. YUM.

  7. If I eat anything fruit flavored it has to be red. Jolly Ranchers, Licorice, Jelly Beans, Starbursts...you get the point.

There ya have it. Yeah, I am a Dorkabella...I know. Have a great weekend and I will tag anyone that cares to play along.

See ya on the blog!

Tagged, Tagged, Tagged and Tagged Again

I got smacked...I mean tagged three times....ooops four times. I do like to play but I hate being the tagger. I know it's lame but by the time I get around to being tagged everyone else has already done it and then I am the kid on the playground continually running around in circles chasing myself. So please just play along.

Oh better yet...I am going to tag Kelly who is a brand new blogger and she needs some visitors. So go visit Kelly....give her some time to post some weird stuff about herself....then go visit her at Crafting Creatively. Hmmmm...there I tagged someone. Oh and then I am going to tag Lara cause she doesn't blog enough. Her last entry was random things and I know she can come up with 7 more. There...now I have tagged two people and I am tired.

The rules of the game:• Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog.• Share 7 random and/or weird facts about yourself on your blog, we all want to know them.•

Shannon, a new blogger that I found through the SCS Blog Forum, tagged me and then I was tagged by Taya. Oh and Jacki and Amy think I am pretty darn special too....thanks so much girls...very sweet to include me and sharing the love!

So I thought I would play along because there isn't enough useless infromation about me on the internet and once again.....my life is just so darn exciting you can't get enough of it...right? Feel free to skip this...you won't hurt my feelings. So here are my 7 Weird Random facts about me....otherwise known as Deniseisms as my husband says.

  1. My favorite color used to be purple and as teenager. I had a purple bedroom, with purple carpet and a purple phone.
  2. I like to eat Wavy Lays chips and pretzels together in the same mouthful.
  3. I got married when I was 19 and I am still happily married after 18 years. {Is that weird?}
  4. All 4 of my children were born in different states from coast to coast...thanks to the Navy.
  5. I miss the TV show Dog the Bounty Hunter.
  6. When I pump gas I have to end on a full dollar amount...no change.
  7. Whenever Bill and I eat cake he scrapes off the frosting and gives it to me. {That's not weird...that's true love.}

There ya go....I am not weird....just a Dorkabella. See ya on the blog!

Things that make you go ....hmmmmm

I finally made my way through the hundereds of blog posts in my Google Reader {do I sound like a broken record on this whole Google Reader thingy?} and now I am kicking myself in the pants because I forgot to bookmark all the inspiring favs I saw. Just to set the record straight...I did not read every single post...mostly skimmed for pics or titles that caught my eye and then read what caught my attention.

Anyway, a few days ago Allison tagged me and asked that I post five blogs that make me think. No problemo....wrong! There are lots out there that I read for the pure sake of being a nosey rosey. But I think I have narrowed it down to a handful and I won't be tagging these people either because I HIGHLY doubt they even know I exist and don't want to remove my cloak of annonimity and reveal my voyuerism behaviors.....OK...I don't want to scare them with the fact that they are stalked by me. LOL

  1. Ali Edwards is a rockstar in the scrapbooking world and this girl has made me cross many lines outside of scrapbooking and makes me think on a daily basis. I love to visit her blog and hear about the progress her son Simon makes with regards to his Autism. Ali is definately an inspiration to many people.
  2. Cathy Zielske is another rockstar in the scrapbooking world and she is my kind of "tell it like it is" girl. Although she has written two books regarding simple scrapbooking she doesn't blog much about the subject. I can appreciate her obsession with a music icon as I have my own obsession to deal with. Cathy has the best sense of humor and I love her style of writing.
  3. Jolene George is a mom living in Arizona raising 5 boys and she happens to have a hobby of scrapbooking too but that's not why I read her blog. I honestly don't know how the heck I found her blog but I read it all the time. I can't tell you how many times I have cried reading her blog.....Chad's graduation, Chad shipping off to Afghanistan, selling her house, the engagement of Chad and Sandy, her grandson, her loving husband, her faith, her hobbies, another grandbaby on the way, Chad's surprise visit....it's like a soap opera....a real life soap opera that I have gotten caught up in and look forward to her updates of real life. For sure Jolene would think I am a stalker as she has no clue who the heck I am...but she makes me think and I like her.
  4. Kimberly Geswein has been known on SCS and throughout the Digi Scrappin community. I have no idea how I found her blog but I did and I like it. She has recently moved to China with her husband and two daughters and I am so happy to peek in on the adventure. I have been reading her blog for the last year and enjoy it very much. I feel like it is yet another soap opera of real life that I am caught up in and look forward to each new post.
  5. Dawn Griffith is a stamper that I met through this crazy blog world. We basically comment on each other's blogs and have RAK'd each other. What I LOVE about Dawn is this woman is the perfect example of happiness. Just reading Dawn's blog makes me happy because she is a happy person ....you can just feel it. In my head I have a mental image of a a bubbly happy person that spreads that contaigous giddy-ness....if that makes any sense. But not just goofey, silly, fun giddy-ness.....happiness for life in general. She freely shares herself with others in her "real life"....she spreads happiness in many ways.....and it shows through her words and actions that she is a happy person.

So there ya have it. These people make me think almost daily and it's nice thoughts too...usually. So now here is something to make you think.....wouldn't it be sooooo nice if we received $1 for every piece of spam that went into the spam folder? OMG.....I would be $1051 dollars richer this week which equals a whole lotta stamps....or a new laptop for sure! Which by the way, I keep hinting to Bill would make a GREAT get well present. Think happy thoughts. See ya on the blog!

P.S. This little mailbox is filled with baby goodies and matches the card I posted in my last post that I am sending to a teacher.
