Simple Elegance for Mom

Here is a Mother's Day card I made for the JustRite Gallery. This is such a simple and elegant card....I like those kind of cards. Simple is always a good thing.

**Stampin Stuff** The black card base is cut for a vertical layout. I added a layer of striped SU patter paper that is soooooo old. I remember being pregnant with Bailey when I bought it after the Las Vegas convention...um Bailey is almost 7 now. {Yes, I hoard paper too.}
Then I added a layer of floral toile paper that was scalloped on the edge. I adhered some black velvet May Arts ribbon around the card base. The monogram was stamped with my small JustRite monogram stamper. I used my SU circle punches and mounted it with a pop dot.
Elegant and easy....oh and simple too.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting me!
See ya on the blog.

LOL! I'm chuckling because I too have some of this long retired paper and the name is eluding me as well. I love the two layers of ds paper, they perfectly compliment the monogram stamp. It is beautiful and simple.
